An Alone Traveller, Intense Blogger, Creative Designer & an English Teacher

I am Kamal Shrestha originally from Ramechhap district. I was born in a large family. I grew up in my small village- Simkhet, Phulasi and learnt so many things from my parents and grandparents when I was there until 6 years.

Though my childhood days were struggling at times I had got a better environment to study with my father staying in a military camp wherever his posting goes by.

My schooling was great to recall some of the beautiful moments I had with friends and teachers. Though I was almost self-learner at school, my happiness was entirely doubled by the time when I got prize worth more valuable then I thought securing first position from “Office of the Forests and Soil Conservation,” Dhankuta on district level essay competition in 8th grade.

I completed my Master’s Degree in English from Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus, Kathmandu. And, Post Graduate Degree in Computer Application from Digital Computers Pvt. Ltd., Kathmandu. I attended short term courses for Visual Basic for application development from Xansa Websity and E-commerce from National College of Computer Studies (NCCS), Kantipath. During my study, I made a software for data collection about HIV/AIDS using Foxpro and Online Examination Software Application using Visual Basic and Oracle.

To talk about my profession, I am an English Teacher in Boarding School. It has been running for 3 years.

I have about 6 years of experience in trading and export house in Dubai and India dealing with business, reporting, analyzing, making presentation and managing official works, planning and meeting. I was involved with correspondence, merchandising, documentation, ISO and factory audit process.

Before working in Dubai, I served in advertising agencies where I was creatively active in design and development, product branding and corporate planning. During the period of service, I attended “Drawing and Painting Class” from Srijana College of Fine Arts, Kathmandu. In the morning shift I was Computer and English language teacher in some of the institutions in Kathmandu.

To talk about my interest, I love reading newspapers, writing— poems, stories, essays, research materials, articles for technology, travel and lifestyle and playing games. I am in the verge of creating and exploring new things to do in my life. So to be an intense blogger is my passion of the time.
