Interview with the Earth

Mother goddess, the Earth,
One of the members of the universe,
Our ancestors started to grow,
On this planet six million years ago.
 
I fixed the interview with the Earth,
At the end day of Lockdown,
And, end day of the constant showering,
That lasted for 5 days abruptly towering.

In the morning, I woke up earlier,
And aimed to space freely without fear;
From the sky-line, I have seen,
Disastrous flood along with Covid-19.
 
People and the number of animals,
Accompanied by all the plants, trees,
Woods and the houses were flooded as well as vehicles,
By their destiny, the message from Oracles.
 
The whole world is plagued by Coronavirus,
Like ravaging the city, Thebes of Oedipus Rex,
Till the date more than 15 million in hospital’s bed,
And more than 6 hundred thousand people are dead.
 
The Earth looks like disturbed and desolated,
Most of her clothes torn and greenery has emptied,
We are in a meeting of great talk,
Though she is doing her regular job.
 
She said [emotionally],
“Imbalance is created in the Earth
By human’s— unrealistic activities,
And misusing of things rapidly started,
As a result, my whole body is entirely exhausted.”

What are the challenges, carelessness,
And negligence of living beings?
 
“I am always challenged by,
Unearthing of minerals, a deep stomach surgery,
How can I tolerate my body allover?
If the human beings want to make money for ever.”
[She sobs…]
 
“Serious problem is arising,
Due to unwise population distribution,
Neither in the city nor in the hill,
Help reduce the global warming still.”
[Shows anger… ]
 
“Only, they destroy my clothes,
Making roads and markets at the riverside,
I am a thirsty crow like a deserted fellow,
In search of water everywhere below”
 
How long time have you been tolerating?
 
“I endured savage world war I and II,
And punished me a lot than human hurt,
To those for Galileo and Copernicus,
Though I gave strength to Newton and Einstein, for us.”
 
“And again, I am challenging,
As people want to settle in Mars,
Frightening me building, space sub-station,
Diverting my mind beyond imagination.”
[She whispers, ‘… they forgot, I am mother Earth’]
 
“How hardly all the animals are surviving!
As they become full plate on the table of human being,
Even the poor one kicks me cursing bitterly,
Why did I get birth in this earth, merely?”
 
Did you not realize a love from human beings?
 
“No! Was it tolerable in the forest?
When entire animal kingdom was ablaze,
Tell me, the silent agony of the consequences,
Is it not the human’s carelessness?”
 
[Crying…]
“They are defiling pure air and water,
Helping to extinct many species in this Earth,
What can I expect from them still more?
Neither loving nor feeding me anymore”
 
I was striking hard by the words of Earth
How can we give her relief in days forth?
Sadly, I returned home from space and, I got to know,
Why did Covid-19 give human, a stress though?
